THE OG WRX

The WRX we never got (instead we got the bug eye)... and someone was holding this for us since it has 56,511km (35,114mi) after 27 years. This gorgeous Right hand drive GF8 Impreza WRX wagon comes in color code 406 "light silver" equipped with original 90's STI Wheels in gold as well as slick top (no sun roof) which is very desirable. All body panels are still factory painted with no resprays.

IMPORTED

The car was freshly imported from Japan, inspected, and sorted mechanically and cosmetically within reason. New OEM shifter bushing both bottom and top, new OEM CV axle boot and regreased, new wiper blades. This car has 56,511km (35,114 miles) and is ready to drive 10x that amount.

INSIDE

The interior is immaculate, from the Nardi (factory Italian) steering wheel, to the original cloth sport buckets, it's all in tip top shape with very little wear, no cigarette burns since it was a non-smoker car. Seems like it was driven 3 years, not 27. The shifter knob from a Subaru STI gives it a little bit more character and shifts like butter after the new bushings were installed.

OUTSIDE

The body and undercarriage are clean and rust free. Big fog lamps and great lighting all around. The WRX logo on the trunk lid with its very Japanese font is just something of its age, bringing memory and nostalgia even if this car was not available in the USA at the time. The car does have its cosmetic blemishes but very usual with this brand / model especially considering its age.

HOW IT DRIVES

Power figures online range between 217hp and 276hp, and being honest, with the STI pushing 276hp in its prime, this is not a 276hp power car, but I could give it a healthy 230-240hp figure without even touching a manual boost module. In short, a mid 6 sec 0-60mph car if conservative. There are two things I decided not to change deliberately, the exhaust has a small leak in the mid pipe, and the winter tires. As an experienced car enthusiast, I am confident that the next owner will do with his / her own choice of exhaust and tires, as those are very personal. I priced the car accordingly.
